The promised video.
Expect more long-awaited thoughts today along with a reasoning for finally joining the dark side. For those who knew of the resistance, you'll be pleased with why it's a necessary evil, for as long as the service last. All I know is that it better be worth it.
Perception is reality, the saying goes. Modern players can never transcend time, athletes only care about the money and the fan is never wrong. Yet, all you need to do is dig a little deeper to find the truth. As a freelance sportswriter, my job is to give the audience a story around what just happened. As a consumer, I expect that sports will always provide more than I bargained for. As a fan, my hopes are to be enlightened by more than points. Welcome to the mind of a sports scribe.

Caped (I)
Still a bit fatigued from a fantastic time with friends old and new, tonight's Scribe post features just a small tidbit from the weekend.
Unexpectedly this past Friday night, yours truly got to attend a Cape Cod Baseball League game in Orleans, home to its Firebirds. A few edits need to be made for the video, but here is a photo album and links about a league in which over 200 of its alums (all collegiate stars) are currently on Major League Baseball rosters.

The video and more thoughts will come tomorrow. Enjoy your night.
