Brittle

So it's been about a week since the last post, but it's been necessary as the jets needed some refueling. Or in the case for Scribe, the fingers just needed a brief rest.

And what brings the laptop out this evening?

Boxing.

Yes, Kelly Pavlik was impressive and Jermain Taylor was game. Yet, the biggest ripples in the sport were made... in the WWE?!?!

It looks like 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather - all 5'8" and 140+ pounds of him - will find himself in the wrestling ring with The Big Show (Paul Wight) - all 7+ feet and 392 pounds of him.

Publicity? Of course. On Monday Night RAW earlier this evening, PBF said so himself when 'accepting' an apology for their confrontation during this past Sunday's No Way Out pay-per-view.

Fake? Sure, it's professional wrestling, after all. Despite the schedule, the travel, the pain, the actual athleticism and the hard-to-deny culture of performance-enhancing drugs in the industry, it's not real... is it?

Mayweather, for those who are not boxing aficionados, has rather brittle hands. Obviously, his profession has somewhat of a role in this. However, were they so brittle that he would actually land his fists onto someone whose upper torso alone is about the size of two Ricky Hattons combined? Not so sure, but it will be interesting to see how the hype of this develops over the next few weeks.

Besides, Floyd has been looking to do something to kill time until his rematch with Oscar de la Hoya.

And isn't Wrestlemania XXIV coming up?
